Physics

Having a secure understanding of physics will mean that you have a secure understanding of the world in which we live.

You will develop your problem solving skills as well as learn the answers to some big questions. What is the large hadron collider doing and can you calculate the point at which an aeroplane can no longer abort take off?

WHAT WILL YOU STUDY?

  • Measurements and their errors
  • Particles and radiation
  • Waves
  • Mechanics and materials
  • Electricity
  • Further mechanics and thermal physics
  • Fields and their consequences
  • Nuclear Physics

You will also study one of the following options:

  • Astrophysics
  • Medical Physics
  • Engineering physics
