We took a group of Yr9 students to the Young Teen Fiction Awards Celebration Day at Stafford County Showground yesterday.
The event is the equivalent of the Oscars for books!
Six books were shortlisted from the many books published for teenagers during the last year, and students throughout Staffordshire have been reading and voting.
We had a fabulous day with students and staff from 27 other Staffordshire schools. We watched presentations championing each of the 6 nominated books and were inspired by two well known authors.
Our students were excellent ambassadors for Paulet High School and have returned enthused and eager to start reading the huge list of new books to find next year’s winner!
