ifs Student Investor Challenge

As part of the enterprise programme teams from year 11 and 12 entered the ifs (Institute of Financial Services) UK wide Student Investor Challenge. Teams were given £100,000 of virtual money to invest in shares, using information to forecast trends, identify attractive shares and judge when to buy and sell to make a profit. The top prize was a trip to New York. On top of that, the teams and their school/college get prize money to spend as well –bonus!

B.A.G.s, (Sydney, Bradleigh, Alex and Gordon) one of our year 12 teams consistently performed well throughout the competition. In December their overall ranking was 334 out of 8,594 teams! Collins (year 12 students) also
moved up the rankings to finish 1991 out of 8,594 teams.

Well done to all the students who entered the competition.
