Mrs Howard and Mrs Dolman took a group of 8 students along to JCB Lakeside Club to take part in a day of celebrating books for teens.
Students enjoyed drama presentations from 6 Staffordshire schools, talks by authors Sally Nicholls and Rob Lloyd Jones and took part in voting to decide which was the top fiction book for teens in 2014.
Students also had the chance to buy books, meet the authors and borrow new books from Staffordshire Library Services.
Voting was extremely close this year but the winning book was a gripping psychological thriller While the Others Sleep by Tom Becker.
It was a great day out for all, and our students placed first, second and third in the book quiz!
