Our year 8 football team came a very respectable second, in their first game of the season, against Pingle. Here is Mr Belso’s report:
On a very humid evening at Pingle, Paulet year 8 boys’ football team lost a very competitive match 4v1.
Paulet trailed 2v0 at the break but early in the second half Reece Smith connected well with a long free kick from James Hill to score, dragging Paulet back into the match at 2v1.
In chasing an equalising goal, Paulet inevitably left space at the back in which Pingle exploited scoring two goals very late into the game.
Next match for the Paulet year 8 boys will be away at Robert Sutton in Thursday 22nd September.
