Just before half term year 7 and 8 girls played Rounders against Blessed Robert Sutton. Both teams demonstrated excellent teamwork, communication and there were some great displays of batting.
The year 7 game was extremely close all the way through with Robert Sutton taking the lead by 1/2 a rounder after the first innings. Communication from Erin and great team work ensured a win on 11 rounders to 10 1/2 by the end of the game. Well done girls!
Year 8 had a couple of new players which was great to see as they fit into the team straight away, thank you Hannalora, Samara and Sydney for stepping in at the last minute to support the team. The game started off close going into the second innings with Robert Sutton leading 5 1/2 rounder to 4. It was the second game against the team in the same week so as you can imagine we wanted to keep success levels high. Robert Sutton had some outstanding tactics and batting techniques which unfortunately lead to an 11 rounders to 8 1/2 defeat. So that’s one game all. Well done girls a pleasure to take you as a team as always!
