Charlie has been enjoying a Shakespeare play during lockdown

Charlie B in 7SBA received an e honour mark this week. He has watched A Midsummer Night’s Dream and loved it!

The BBC, the RSC and The Globe Theatre have made 9 Shakespeare plays available on BBC iplayer for free, this is a great opportunity to get some culture and see some amazing acting!

Here are some suggestions that link to our curriculum and which will be most useful when we return to school:
Year 7: you should watch A Midsummer Night’s Dream as we will be studying this play when we return to school.
Year 8: you should watch Much Ado About Nothing -we will be studying that soon
Year 9: please watch Macbeth- you will be studying this for your GCSE in Year 10. Why not get ahead now?
Year 10: watch Macbeth for revision – you read it at the end of Year 9. It is the same version we watched in the hall. Or you could watch another tragedy to help you with discussion of the genre.
Year 11: for those of you who are hoping to study Literature, Language, Drama or Theatre Studies-  watch as many as you can!
