WELLBEING CHAMPIONS
Open to selected new year 7 students it is a 7 week course which will look at skills and activities around team building understanding strong emotions, understanding positive relationships and what makes a good friend.
SCHOOL COUNSELLOR
Our new school counsellor has experience in working with young people and understanding their needs. They are a huge support to staff and students alike. They meet students once a week for 40 minutes and support all our year groups through any worries they may have, low mood or difficulties with overwhelming emotions.
Garden group (this includes helping with the chickens)
Learn to look after the chickens alongside growing fruit and vegetables and other nature inspired activities. Open to all year groups.
Games club
Drop in club where you can play a variety of board games and meet new people. Open to all year groups.
Listening Service - Burton Youth For Christ
Every Thursday Paulet hosts the Listening Service from BYFC. The service offers a chance for young people to talk freely on a 1:1 basis. It can increase their resilience levels, empowering students from all year groups to work through issues for themselves. Each child on the Listening Service will receive at least six 30 minute sessions. If you feel this is something your child could benefit from, please contact Mr Deer.
