The awesome launch of the Final Countdown Day

An amazing day where our students started with a session on “Inner Winner” where they learnt about the influence of their internal dialogue, building confidence and finding the hunger for success. The session was followed by a session on wellbeing and students learnt how to identify symptoms of stress, strategies to combat stress and how to commit to developing a balanced lifestyle. The students then had the well anticipated flagship session on exams made easy where students learnt how to motivate themselves, analysed their performance so they can prioritise their efforts, created cue cards and learnt how to use mnemonic and spatial memory techniques. It didn’t finish here; students finished the day with a performance to raise their aspirations. The Final Countdown day ended, and the focus went to the Final Countdown evening! Where every subject had a stall supporting students on revision for their subjects. We had a very congested hall full of parents and students where our headteacher and deputy headteacher gave reminders about the grading system, revision techniques, we launched our flagship 50-hour challenge and supervised Saturday and Easter Study arrangements. It is all over to our Y11s now – you can do this! Here is some feedback from the day: It inspired me. I now realise how easy I can handle the stress of exams. Motivated me a lot.
