In years 10 and 11 we follow the AQA course where students study a range of topics. They begin with an in depth study of the USA in the 1920s followed by Civil Rights in the USA in the 1950s and 1960s. They also complete and in depth study of Nazi Germany. The remainder of year 11 focuses on the Causes of World War One, the Peace Treaties following the war and Hitler’s foreign policy. These topics are all assessed through examination at the end of year 11. Also included in the course are two pieces of controlled assessment based on life in Britain during World War One and Two.
