McMessage – what a journey!
I really can’t believe that Tuesday marked three months since our school closed to all but a few students. So much has happened in that time – in school and out of school. I am beginning to get the feeling that, come September, we will all see much more of each other.
The last three weeks in school have been quite wonderful with students in Years 10 and 12 coming in for face to face time with tutors and teachers and subject teachers meeting in teams to plan our curriculum for September. Next week we start two weeks of face to face meetings for students in Years 7 to 9 and on July 8th we will have our ‘virtual’ new Year 7 Parents’ information evening.
For now, please continue to do the work set by your teachers, talk to them using the email clinics or google hangouts and send them work when they ask for it. The last week of term will be our virtual activities week (details to follow) and Year 10 and 12 students will have their final face to face meeting with their tutor and subject teachers respectively.
On Friday the 17th July Paulet will close for the summer holiday so we can ‘reboot’ ready for September! It will be really important for students and parents to keep checking social media and emails for news about plans for reopening.
For our new students, who we are really excited to meet in September, there is a link below to our transition webpage where you and your parents can find out lots more about Paulet.

And so to the photograph of a small child working….I have had a rare treat today; home-schooling my daughters while Mrs McArthur is at school. It’s been lovely but nothing beats normality – let’s hope that happens soon.
Remember….despite what many people seem to think (based on photos of beaches in Bournemouth), we must continue to be vigilant, be hygienic and keep our distance.
