In one of the first lessons I taught Rebecca last year when she was in year 9  I’d seen she’d worked really hard all lesson so went over to her desk to praise her for this at which point I saw she had done all her own work and had also written everything down incredibly neatly in another student’s book who was absent,  Rebecca simply said ‘I didn’t want her to get behind’.

Yes she had a nose stud but more importantly she had a ‘heart of gold’.
